Built in 1869 by Major General Grenville M. Dodge, a Civil War leader and Transcontinental Railroad builder, the Historic General Dodge House is a lavish representative of Victorian architecture and family life. Tours of the historic home highlight its then-modern amenities, expensive details and tell the story of the man that owned all of it. Overlooking the town, the mansion and its gardens back onto the lovely Fairmount Park.
